Celebrating 30 Years
I finally hit the big 30 yesterday. Wanted to thank everyone for making it so special and for giving me shout outs throughout the day and espically to...
- Mikey - for decorating the bathroom and filling it up with 30 balloons, taking me to the Olive Garden and getting me Mamma Mia, a book and Prince of Persia (video game).
- Karen & Gavinator - for being the first to call and wish me Happy Birthday.
- Nick (Pickle) - for calling me twice in the same day to wish me a great day
- Work Friends - for giving me a Game Stop gift certificate (do they know me or what) and someone even folded up a $5.00 bill (see pic below). I thought that was pretty cool.
- My Boss - for singing a solo that was so loud the entire office heard it. Not too mention she danced a jig. It was hilarious.
- Ayzha & Tiago - for singing the "you live in a zoo" version of Happy Birthday to me.
- Jilly Bean & Sarah - for leaving me birthday messages.
- Mom & Dad - for paying for my ticket to get to Jilly Bean's wedding.
- Angela, Gager, & Kyah - for singing to me and giving me birthday love.
- Huntskys and Jordache - for playing video games with me on my birthday.
- Randawg & Little Trippy - for telling me Happy Birthday.
- Shimm Doctor, Randitty, & Kelli - for emailing birthday wishes to me.
- Brian & Jenny - for calling me and telling me how hot I still am.
- The Bowens - for singing the loudest and most energetic birthday song I have ever heard in my life.
- Angie - for getting me huge pics of my favorite kids. I complained that the pics I got were mini sized so Angie took care of it. Check out the top of my fridge in the pics below and then compare with the bottom of my fridge.
- Ben - for being the last to call at 11:15 pm to tell me Happy Birthday. I guess he has an excuse because he decided to steal my day for his anniversary.
My little buddies.

Anniversary Video
Put together a little video of the awesome day I spent with the love of my life. More still pictures are posted below. Thanks for a day of too much perfection Mikey.
6-Year Anniversary
Mike and I celebrated six years of marriage yesterday. Mike had our whole day planned out so first we drove to San Simeon on the coast to check out Hearst Castle. The sky was clear, the sun was shining and it was absolutely gorgeous. William Randolph Hearst built a castle that was very heavily influenced by Eurepean architecture. The tour was phenomenal. Then, we took a scenic drive to the beach. Later, we saw a Bubble Gum Alley in San Luis Obispo. That's right, an entire alley filled with chewing gum on the walls. And finally, we ate dinner at a place called Apple Valley.

Christmas Lights
I absolutely love my calling. I get to be one of the leaders for the 10-11 year old Faith in God girls. They are way hilarious. And we only do 2 activities a month. Nice.
Tonight, we walked around Christmas Tree lane so I told the moms to bundle their girls up. The moms thought I was crazy because they said it was sooo cold even though it was 50 degrees out. Silly Californians. Thought I'd share some highlights of the evening.

Willy Wonka
Mike and I found this sweet candy store. When we walked in, we were amazed. They had every kind of candy you can imagine. And in the back of the store, they have the movie Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory playing nonstop. When we went to investigate more, we found autographed pictures of all the kids in the movie all grown up. We also found a bubblegum dresser where you have to open the drawers to pull out the gum that is separated by flavor.
We went there because I had to buy candy for a Primary class I taught and bribed to behave. Works every time! I ended up getting suckers for those little suckers! But the suckers were cool because they were shaped like feeet.
Mike and I holding our goods. I have a Wonka Bar (disappointed that I didn't find a golden ticket though) and Mike has a piece of bubble gum the size of a yard stick.
